Calling all Health, Social Care and Employability Organisations!

Universal Comedy’s fresh and innovative work has generated loads of interest from a number of health, social care and employability (HSCE) organisations.

Working with a group traditionally classed as ‘hard to reach and hard to help’, we have proved we can successfully:

Engage—discover a sense of belonging and purpose
Enhance and improve general health and well being
Improve self esteem, confidence and motivation
Reduce isolation
Encourage creativity
Improve motivation and aspirations
Help reduce stress and encourage positive thinking
Provide a network of friendship, events and forums for publishing work

Universal Comedy’s activities have also proved effective at moving people on to other social, learning and work programmes provided by health, social care and employability organisations.

In 2010 Universal Comedy commissioned independent research by the Mental Health Foundation on participants’ experiences of our training courses.

Universal Comedy & The Comedy Unit

Universal Comedy has teamed up with The Comedy Unit. The Comedy Unit has agreed to assist us with a specialist guest tutor workshop, to enhance the experience of participants on our training courses and provide a forum for submitting work.

This unique opportunity will allow our course clients to benefit directly from the expertise of Comedy Unit staff and participate in a half day workshop (subject to availability) and to attend radio and TV comedy recordings and events. Keep checking here for updates!
