Jojo Sutherland is a professional stand up who works in comedy clubs across the UK delivering her unique brand of humour to anyone who will listen …and laugh! She can also frequently be heard on radio as either a presenter, guest or voiceover artist and has written, produced and staged several shows, many premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Jojo has worked for Universal Comedy for the past two years and thoroughly enjoys the work and commitment that the projects demand. Speaking of her experiences Jojo said: “watching the participants grow with confidence and self belief is one of the best parts for me and being able to help someone discover their creative abilities and use them to their advantage is quite often mind-blowing. Seeing someone make lasting friendships and more importantly laughing, having fun and enjoying themselves despite having to overcome physical and/or emotional hurdles is a reward in itself. Only downside is that they can’t get rid of us! long after the projects have ended we all still meet up and have a laugh although annoyingly a lot of them are much funnier than their tutors.
