August 2005, after almost thirty years of occupation, the Israeli Army
withdraws from the Gaza Strip. While the world has its eyes fixed on Gaza,
in the West Bank life goes on in its own absurd way.
35-year-old Ramadan Affanah knows this life far away from normality all too well:
he is a cameraman for the Arabic news channel AI-Jazeera. The Edge Of
Hope accompanies him in his daily routine.
It is a story of hope and despair, helplessness and confidence, violence and anger. Much happens; nothing changes.
