Journey Of A Red Fridge
Lucean Muntean
Natasa Stankovic

Serbia 2007 / 52 Mins

17-year-old Hari Rai lives in a small village in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal. Though a student at the local school, Hari must work as a porter to pay for his tuition and living expenses. He already has 3 years experience carrying loads up and down the mountain- mostly tourists' backpacks. One day he gets the job of carrying a huge red fridge from the mountaintop to the nearest town.

Out of 60,000 child porters in Nepal, Hari is one of the few lucky ones to have the chance of going to school. Journey Of A Red Fridge shows what it takes for him to get an education.
