Beslan. The Right to Live
Olga Stefanova
Russia ï 200 ï 44 mins
The film follows life in the Beslan after the school siege in
which 331 hostages died. As the court hearings go on, people
expected to know how and why such a nightmare could happen in
this country.
A year passes, and still the causes and circumstances of this terror act remain unclear. The evidence of government officials, members of the armed forces and eye witnesses is contradictory. A second round of investigation takes place. Witnesses and victims are interrogated again but the inhabitants of Beslan are no nearer the truth.
